Want to enjoy a steam train ride and a good meal? The traditional ballrooms in Coßmannsdorf are the perfect place for that! This is one of the oldest event venues in the town of Freital – located at the entrance to the picturesque Rabenauer Grund, just a few metres from the Freital-Coßmannsdorf stop on the Weißeritztalbahn railway line. Reopened in 2024, the building – which has been a popular stop for hikers and a well-attended event venue since 1911 – features a stylishly furnished restaurant with 65 seats on the ground floor and an idyllic beer garden in front. In addition, three event rooms are available for a wide variety of events. You can attend concerts, dance events and cabarets here, but the rooms could also be used for your private celebration – just ask! The ballrooms are open daily and offer a variety of regional dishes. Open daily throughout the year from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. – kitchen closes at 9 p.m. (sometimes longer during certain events and celebrations)
