The Chemnitz Model Railway Days are part of the multifaceted range of trade fairs and events at Messe Chemnitz. The last weekend in January is dedicated to model making. Traditionally, young and old railway enthusiasts can marvel at 2000 m2 of model railway layouts in all gauges at the Chemnitz Exhibition Centre. Together with MEC Chemnitz e.V., Messe Chemnitz organises a large and annually changing variety of exhibitors with over 40 model railway clubs, private exhibitors and around 20 dealers from different countries. In addition, there are three different RC truck courses with a variety of events, trucks, construction vehicles and buses can be experienced in action with traffic and loading scenes during the day. A stage programme, a driver's cab simulator, a 7 ¼ inch gauge ride-along track from ‘Schauplatz Eisenbahn’ and hands-on stands also ensure an entertaining programme for the whole family.
